The CNC Electronic Mail Advisory Group (CNC-EMail) was formed in February 1996 to develop a plan for providing undergraduate access to email and other Internet services for UCSB’s 16,000 undergraduate students. Group membership included faculty, staff, and students.
CNC-EMail submitted its recommendation to the CNC on January 19, 1997. Preliminary implementation began in April 1997.
