The Search Advisory Committee invites applications and nominations for the position of Director of the Office of Information Technology. A brief job description, a copy of the memorandum from the Information Technology Board recommending the creation of the Office of Information Technology, and a list of the Office's responsibilities can be found on the Information Technology Board's webpage.
The Search Advisory Committee will begin reviewing applications on October 16, and will continue to accept them until the position is filled. Applicants should submit a letter outlining their vision of the position, their view of the major information technology issues facing the campus, and those elements of their background that are relevant to the position. They should include a CV and the names of two or three people who can speak to their qualifications for the position. Nominations should be sent by email to sugar@physics.ucsb.edu.
