This is an IBW project for the entire building. Primary construction is to create a structured riser system and build out communications closets, followed by the installation of a cable tray and conduit/j-box system throughout building. Alternate 1 work, pending adequate funding, is to wire the entire building with Cat 5e cabling. Alternate 2 work, pending funding, is to wire 36 labs with one Augmented 6 (Cat 6A) cable.
Cheadle Hall, Bldg. 552
Departmental Contact: LSIT
Pending funding, this project is to create a structured riser distribution system throughout Cheadle Hall. The plan is to gut existing shallow communications closets and create a standard riser system. If funding is available, the second floor may have workstation wiring work included. There is no current funding for this project.
